 (2): - Application level gateway firewall: - It is also called application proxy.  This firewall allows the packet to pass through or intercept the packet based on the information of the application.  Information of the application is available in the packet.

 This internet security firewall is a type of proxy server that makes applications available to the proxy.

 (3): - Circuit-level gateway firewall: - This firewall works in the session layer of the OSI model.  This firewall provides security of TCP (transmission control protocol) or UDP (user datagram protocol).

 This internet security firewall analyzes each packet in TCP or UDP and takes action on the packages according to the firewall policy.
